Jesús Martín
Head of Technology Standards, Telefónica Group
Jesús Martín is the Head of Technology Standards at Telefónica S.A., where he leads the company’s strategy and budget management for international Standardisation Development Organisations (SDOs) and coordinates delegate participation.
Since 2016, he has represented Telefónica in key 3GPP working groups (SA, CT, SA1, SA2), influencing mobile standards development.
With over two decades in telecommunications, Jesús has worked closely with industry leaders like Luis Jorge Romero (former ETSI DG), Kevin Holley, (BT, former 3GPP SA1 chairman), and Diego Lopez (former ETSI NFV chairman). His experience includes participation in ETSI, IETF, and GSMA, where he contributed to advancing RCS specs to OMA SIMPLE IM 2.0.
Previously, Jesús served as Project Manager at Telefónica Móviles Spain, overseeing service layer architecture and platform deployments. He started his career as a consultant at Netscape Spain, working with major clients like Telefónica and BBVA.
