Membership of the NGMN Alliance is open to all companies interested in joining and supporting the NGMN Alliance e.V. vision.

Your organisation can be a part of the exciting work of NGMN by joining the NGMN Alliance as a Member (mobile operator), as a Contributor (telco vendor, software companies, consulting firms and other industry players) or as an Advisor (research institute contributing substantially to mid- to long-term innovation). Each of these NGMN Alliance Partner categories has different roles, rights, and obligations, as described in Membership Categories.

Membership Categories

There are three categories of the NGMN Alliance membership – Member, Contributor and Advisor. All of them together build the NGMN Alliance e.V. Partnership.

Members

Mobile Network Operators or Integrated / Converged Operators – companies providing mobile telecommunication services to the public owning or controlling all the elements necessary to sell and to deliver services to the end-user including in particular radio spectrum allocation and wireless network infrastructure.

Contributors

Manufacturers or vendors of mobile technology, including network infrastructure, chipset, component, handset and device makers, software companies, as well as companies representing industry sectors such as automotive, healthcare, media, internet or transport with an interest in contributing to the advancement of next generation mobile technology and to service or media delivery as well as consulting firms.

Advisors

Academic institutions, non-industry affiliated research institutes contributing substantially to mid- to long-term innovation.

1) Small and Medium sized Enterprise (SME) means any Contributor with an annual turnover not exceeding 50 million Euros.

2) Financial year starting 1st October. For membership beginning during the financial year, the fee may be pro-rated based on the quarter of the financial year to reflect the remaining part of that financial year.

The different roles and rights of the membership categories are laid down in the NGMN Alliance Articles of Association and the NGMN Alliance Participation Guidelines.
