NGMN 6G in the Hot Seat: The Debate on Innovation, the Impact of AI and the 6G Narrative at FYUZ 2025

During FYUZ 2025, NGMN brought together key players from across the telco ecosystem for an open discussion on the hottest topics concerning 6G, highlighting the pivotal moment on the mobile communications roadmap, as well as the importance of global collaboration and alignment.

Led by NGMN’s leadership and Board Members, the “6G in the Hot Seat” breakout session provided an interactive platform for participants to explore what needs to be considered for a successful journey to 6G, delivering end user value, and meeting operator requirements.

Emerging topics for 6G such as ‘AI for networks and networks for AI’ and ‘network evolution focused on software driven innovation cycles’ were among the discussions of the 80 individuals in attendance. This included MNOs, vendors, system integrators, research, academia, media, and analysts.

We also shared the latest NGMN operator-led guidance on 6G the topic, highlighting the importance for the whole industry to be aligned with these goals.
