This document provides the solutions of compact antenna to reduce the difficulty of antenna deployment for information sharing. This deliverable focuses on the conclusion and summary of some basic modes from operators and vendors experiences. This document includes basic mode and compact mode with 2 interface innovation extensions. BMA and MCIC are two interface extensions for improving the performance of interface between antenna and RRU (Remote Radio Unit). The compact solution is the combination of basic mode and interface improvement in urban/dense urban. The intention is to provide a specific, yet generic, description of basic modes for compact antenna features.
With the introduction of LTE the requirements for OSS Capabilities and solutions changed completely. The network architecture became more flat. The challenge is to operate services with high quality, end to end, effectively and efficiently. There is a need to define converged OA&M requirements to ensure that the operational activities within the converged networks perform optimally. This NGMN requirements document has the aim to give guidance to SDOs and industry bodies in order to prioritize the work for the specification of solutions that fulfil the most important requirements for today’s and future networks’ management.
Backhaul is a key challenge, but there is uncertainty around which solutions are most suitable. This NGMN white paper aims to help move the industry forward by clarifying consensus around the operators’ requirements for small cell backhaul. The focus is on operator deployed, open access small cells and the ‘last mile’ of the backhaul.
This paper is an NGMN informative contribution on the subject and aims to provide a common terminology and some high-level scenarios to introduce to Industry a few possible implementations for security in LTE backhauling. The attention has been put on the ways to assemble security mechanisms in a few scenarios suitable to address the security requirements of an LTE network.
