China Mobile invited NGMN delegates to view TD-LTE live demo
Operator delegates from NGMN were invited to China Mobile Research Institute for TD-LTE live demo on May 12th, 2009. The TD-LTE equipments from 15 venders were shown, including most of the important infrastructure, chipset, terminal and test instrument global vendors.
The delegates also experienced TD-LTE field performance in a two-base-station field urban environment built up by China Mobile with Huawei’s equipment. High speed download, streaming, video call and intra-LTE handover were successfully demonstrated. TD-LTE industrialization progress is on target and TD-LTE is promising to be commercially available by end of 2009 or early 2010.
