White Paper Update on „Next Generation Mobile Networks Spectrum Requirements“ published at ITU Telecom World
Geneva (Switzerland) / Frankfurt (Germany), October 6th, 2009 – At the ITU Telecom World in Geneva, the Next Generation Mobile Network (NGMN) Alliance has released a White Paper Update on “Next Generation Spectrum Requirements”.
The ITU-R and regional bodies are currently developing channelling arrangements for the bands identified at the ITU World Radio Conference (WRC-07) so that they can subsequently be used on a harmonised basis around the world. NGMN partners are actively participating in this ongoing work to ensure that the new arrangements will suit their needs. The current status and NGMN views and requirements with regards to these bands are now outlined in the White Paper Update on “Next Generation Mobile Networks Spectrum Requirements” developed by the NGMN Spectrum Working Group. NGMN is continuing to study these bands and may develop additional views in the future.
