NGMN 5G Workshop Beijing

Beijing, China, 16th - 18th September 2014

On 16th – 18th September 2014, the NGMN 5G team met with the NGMN Partners at a 5G workshop - around 100 participants (more than 35 companies) joined in Beijing for an intensive 3 days exchange.

One aim of the workshop was to present an update on the 5G white paper content developed since the NGMN Forum in June and to introduce to the Partners the conclusions drawn out of their feedback on the 5G questionnaire. Even more important for the 5G team was to use the opportunity of the workshop to receive an in-depth view on the individual Partners’ 5G vision and to discuss this vision in a face-to-face environment.

In the intensive discussion and through the detailed presentations, the 5G team received essential information in terms of feedback on the existing and newly added 5G white paper content. Furthermore, valuable input was received from the participating Partners for the white paper work in particular on the roadmap, requirements, technology and architecture.
