Membership Categories
There are three categories of NGMN membership - Members (mobile operators), Sponsors (vendors/ manufacturers), Advisors (universities or non-industrial research institutes). Besides the chance to drive and shape industry and technology development and the networking opportunities in the NGMN Alliance, a membership provides the following specific benefits:

1) The criteria for a vendor/manufacturer to qualify as "New Innovator" are: start-up company, < 50 MEUR revenue, university relations, minimum 0,5 FTE WG/project commitment
2) Financial year starting 1st October. For membership beginning during the financial year, the fee may be pro-rated based on the quarter of the financial year to reflect the remaining part of that financial year.
The different roles and rights of the membership categories are laid down in the NGMN Articles of Association and the NGMN Participation Guidelines.
