5th Annual Mobile Network Evolution summit, Singapore

The world foremost experts in mobile networks will be congregating at the 5th Annual Mobile Network Evolution summit to discuss the future of network evolution. The summit, organized by IQPC Telecom IQ, will bring together key figures in the telecommunications industry such as Yoshihiro Obata, Executive Vice President of Emobile and Christian Daigneault, Chief Technology Officer, Hong Kong CSL.

Held at the Amara Sanctuary in Singapore from the 22nd to the 24th of March 2010, the summit will see key figures in the telecom industry gathering to discuss topics ranging from investing and financing for 4G to deciding the best technologies telecom operators should adopt for their network.

Panel discussions such as the boxing ring debate will have top executives from Hong Kong CSL, Starhub, Tata Communications, and CSM pit the technologies of long term evolution (LTE) and WiMAX against each other in an outcome to determine which satisfies operators needs best.

Heru Sutadi, the Commissioner for the Indonesian Telecom Regulatory Authority will be on the panel to evaluate the future of network evolution and why regulators and financiers need to be involved in the evolutionary process. Joining Mr. Sutadi on the panel will be telecom regulatory and finance experts from DBS Bank, the WiMAX Forum and Grameenphone.

Past attendee P.S. Sandhu, the Senior Vice president and Chief Technology Officer for Bharti Airtel, believes that the conference is an excellent occasion to share and learn from others in the industry. “It gave me an excellent opportunity to share and learn from experts in the field and gain from the experience of other operators in the launch and post launch optimization of 3G networks,” he said.
